Grocery budget
A grocery budget that knows what you bought.
A bank app sees one amount at the supermarket. Basket Vitality reads the receipt, so your budget sees the crisps, the cola and the rest.

How it works
- Set a monthly budget for a category.
- Scan your receipt. Your phone reads it, with no account and no typing.
- Save it as a transaction. It lands in your budget line by line. Crisps go to Snacks, cola to Drinks, shampoo to Personal care and the rest to Groceries. If a line is in the wrong place, one tap moves it.
- See where you stand: what you've spent and what's left for the month you're viewing.
Warnings before it's too late
The budget bar turns orange once more than 80% is used. If you go over, it turns red and the app says by how much. These warnings appear inside the app. Phone notifications are on the roadmap.
Money and food on the same receipt
Because the app read the receipt, it can also show how much of that spending scored Nutri-D or worse, and which swaps would help. See how receipt scanning works.
What's free
Scanning is free and unlimited, with one budget category. Pro costs €6,99 a month or €49,99 a year, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. It gives Snacks, Drinks and any other category a budget of their own, and adds your full history and unlimited bank-statement imports.
What it can't do
It's built for Dutch supermarket receipts and runs on Android. A product it can't place stays under Groceries rather than being guessed into Snacks.
Your next receipt is your first budget update.
One photo of one receipt is enough to try it.
