Why nobody has shown you this before

Set a monthly budget per category. Save a receipt as a transaction and it lands in your budget line by line: what you've spent, what's left, orange past 80%, red when you're over.

And because the app read the receipt, it can say the sentence no budget app can: how much of that spending scored Nutri-D or worse, and which swaps would help.

What it doesn't do

It doesn't pretend to know things it doesn't.

Basket Vitality is built for Dutch supermarket receipts and sold on Google Play in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Product data comes from Open Food Facts and RIVM's NEVO table, and neither is complete. When a line on your receipt isn't recognised, or a product has no nutrition data behind it, the app says so instead of guessing — and you can fix the match yourself. Climate figures appear only where AGRIBALYSE has them. A swap is a better product in the same category, not a promise that it's on the shelf today. And it doesn't lecture: no streaks, no shame, no daily reminders.

Privacy

Your receipts never leave your phone. Not once.

This is a health and money app. That is the most sensitive pair of things you own, and there is no version of this where we hold them.

No account

There is nothing to sign up for. No email, no password, no profile. You open the app and use it.

Encrypted on your phone

Your receipts, transactions and scores live in an encrypted database on your device, behind your PIN or fingerprint. We have no copy, because there is nowhere to keep one. What does go out: the product-database download, product pictures, an anonymous barcode lookup to Open Food Facts, and Google Play for subscriptions and ratings.

No analytics

Nothing tracks what you scan or what you buy. Crash reports stay on your phone unless you choose to send one.
